Leannng into the New

Although exciting to be starting a new phase in my life, it’s been something I have been waiting for, for so long, it is scary at times too. 

Our bodies & subconscious are programmed to do what makes them feel safe & secure, even if these are old habit, patterns & thought systems that no longer serve us. 

These patterns & habits can hold us back, dragging us without realising into an old way of thinking & doing, it feels safe & known. 

But if we want to make the change, we have to do the work to do so, lean into the new, to show our bodies it is safe, rewire our subconscious to help us move forward. 

Over the past month, it has been challenging not to fall into old patterns, habits & emotions. As soon as I realise I am doing it, I catch it & try to reframe it. 

To do this, when catching myself I have been using affirmations such as:

  •  i am safe
  •  i embrace new habits
  • Change comes easily too me. 

I breath & allow my body to calm, leaning into breath & embracing the feeling of the affirmation to know i am safe, making my mind & body feel comfortable in the situation & present in the moment. 

I have also spent time Journalling about what I want, where I want to go, who I want to be, I write out the affirmations & gratitude, to really help it sink into my subconscious, so it  knows it is ok to be moving forward  & letting go of the past. 

Change takes time & patience, it takes dedication to what you really want & I really want this new life, me living up in my chair without the fear & worthies, without the Bedrest & half life. 

Therefore I am dedicated to make the change, to do the work, rewire my mind & body to lean into & embrace the new.
